Hunt Test Information
There will be two (2) AKC Hunt Tests at the 2027 NS. The tests will be held on Sunday, March 29, 2026 at Cherrybend Hunt Club.
There are two different premiums to allow for each test.

Certificate of Conformation Assessment (CCA)
Monday, May 15, 2027 at Wings North Hunt Club.
This is an opportunity to have the conformation of your Bracco evaluated by two AKC judges and one Breed Expert as it compares to the breed standard. This is not a competition. Each evaluator will go over your dog and compare it to the standard. Dogs scoring 75 to 100 points by three judges may then apply to AKC for the certificate. Cost $65.

Italian Field Evaluation
Tuesday, May 18, 2027 at Wings North Hunt Club. There will be two sessions. One in the morning an one in the afternoon.
Thursday, May 20, 2027 at Wings North Hunt Club. This day is reserved for those competing for the Bella e Brava ONLY.
A European style hunting evaluation will be available on Tuesday and Thursday at Wings North. This is not an AKC event and is not for title points. Your dog will be assessed in the field by a European expert using rules for European hunt tests. Dogs of all skill levels are encouraged to enter, as this is a great opportunity to learn about the breed and receive feedback. **Dogs entered in the AKC National Specialty Show and are competing in this European hunting evaluation are eligible for the Bella e Bravo award.** Sign up for this opportunity on Eventbrite, spots are limited to 20.

The Bella e Bravo is the most prestigious award given at the BICA 2026 National Specialty. It represents the dog that is most outstanding in the field and show. The dog who receives this award illustrates the balance function and conformation as a true “dual dog.” The National Specialty show judge and the evaluator for the European field assessment will meet to privately discuss and determine the winner. **Dogs must be entered in both the National Specialty show and the European style hunting evaluation to be eligible for this award.**
